About CARA
Who is CARA?
CARA (Coastal Animal Rescue and Adoption) is a nonprofit organization, entirely run by volunteers and supported by your donations. CARA volunteers work to trap and provide veterinary care for stray/feral animals in the South Beach area on the Washington coast. We advocate for trap, neuter, return practices for established feral cat colonies to improve the health of our working cats while preventing overpopulation.
CARA’s Vision
Our vision is for communities to be 100% no-kill of adoptable animals and for no homeless pets. We believe the way to achieve this mission is through spay and neuter programs.
CARA’s Mission
Our mission is to facilitate education and communication and act as liaison amongst rescue groups as well as assist with spay/neuter of pets and feral cats and dogs. Cara is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit corporation.
